The CBAM Task Force develops AEGIS Europe’s common position on the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism from both a trade and climate perspective. Its work addresses CBAM implementation, its interaction with trade defence instruments, WTO compatibility, carbon leakage and export solutions, anti-circumvention measures and the implications of possible extensions of the mechanism.

The Public Procurement Working Group promotes reciprocity and a level playing field in European and international public procurement. It works to strengthen the EU framework and supports reforms addressing foreign subsidies, market access, procurement rules and the strategic role of European industry in public purchasing.

Customs and rules of origin WG: The WG focuses on safeguarding the industries’ interests in respect of the implementation of various customs issues, including the Union Customs Code and provisions of Rules of Origin in EU bilateral Free Trade Agreements.

The WG focusses on the modernisation of the WTO as a necessary step to address competing economic and political systems. The Alliance calls for policy reforms of WTO rules for a global level playing field.

The Industrial Policy Working Group promotes a competitive and resilient European industrial base. Its priorities include strengthening Europe’s strategic autonomy and economic security, addressing global overcapacities and import dependencies, ensuring regulatory predictability and supporting access to affordable energy for European manufacturing industries.
